Image Library
This software package allows the user to create a collection of images which are held on a self-contained website. Users are able to select and search for images held on the site by various criteria, such as age, title, theme, etc. The site also allows users to add (moderated)
comments to images that they select on the site.
In the example shown here, the site holds over 1000 photographs (and growing) of Cromarty (small Scottish town), dating from the 19th century to the present day, and covering a variety of themes. Users are able to browse images, organise them into favourite albums, and add feedback comments. The site is proving a valuable local history and remeniscence resource, and future developments include allowing users to upload their own pictures.
